ARACHNA SAYS ‘HERE’S LOOKIN’ AT YOU, KID – WITH BIG SLIMY EYEBALLS!’ ON THIS WEEK’S BEWARE THEATER!!!
Did you ever get the feeling something was watching you? Something that hangs out in a mysterious radioactive cloud and wants to reach out with long nasty tendrils and rip your head off? Yeah, happens to us here at Beta Max TV all the time too! And it also happens to the people in this week’s Beware Theater as Arachna of the Spider People and her optically obfuscated other Deadly present the 1958 sci-fi scarefest THE CRAWLING EYE! A United Nations troubleshooter (played by Forrest Tucker) stops to investigate strange goings-on at a remote Swiss mountain observatory. Climbers have been getting decapitated and gone missing. And perhaps coincidentally, there’s a stationary radioactive cloud that has located itself on the mountain’s south face. And a telepathic woman at the observatory keeps getting strange mental messages. And then there’s the giant crawly eyeball creatures. Good theing there’s a troubleshooter on the premises!
A true B-movie classic and the last production made at Southall Studios, one of England’s first film studios. Arachna and Deadly take a cable car to do some mountain observatory visiting of their own too. But when the busy observatory turns out to be more of a UFO travel hub than tourist destination and the closest thing to a human besides Arachna is her pal Deadly, they may be about to head a little higher up than they planned!
The “eyes” have it for this movie! So have a look (and it’ll look back) as Arachna presents THE CRAWLING EYE – this week’s Beware Theater on your home for B-movies…and big slimy eyeballs! Beta Max TV!!!
