RELIVE THE TRADITION OF THE CHRISTMAS GHOST STORY WITH THE MARQUIS DeBLOOD ON BETA MAX TV!!!
The popular Christmas song “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” includes the lyrics:
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago”
Ghost stories were indeed a Christmas tradition going back hundreds of years. The tradition became pretty much dead and buried in the 20th century. Fortunately, digging up dead things is something the Marquis DeBlood is no stranger to!
So today on Beta Max TV, we bring you the first episode of the Marquis’ brand new series – The Horror Of It All’s Silent Screams. Highlighting some of the scary, creepy films of the silent era, Silent Screams’ debut episode features two Christmassy offerings of the ghostly kind. From 1920, there’s the Edison Films production of the most famous Christmas ghost story of all time – A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Then there’s the 1922 version of THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN featuring Will Rogers. This silent scarefest, filmed in the Husdon Valley area of New Your State where the story takes place, was released in the weeks just prior to Christmas in 1922 and is felt by some to have helped keep the tradition of the Christmas ghost story alive.
A scary host and a scary ghost – or 3 or 4! Turn out the lights, build a fire – hopefully in a fireplace – and enjoy this special exclusive premier edition of The Horror Of It All’s Silent Screams. Just another way we say Merry Christmas at Beta Max TV!!!
